Santa Carving #711 - Wood carved santa

 

 

This Santa was carved from a 2" x 2" x 8" block of basswood.  It is signed and numbered #711.

His coat is a Dutch Blue with white trim and gloves.  The slightly scalloped beard  is enhanced by the antiquing, which provides Santa's antique white feature a hint of old world style carving. 

I refer to this Santa carving as Wedgewood, since he reminds me of one of my mother's Wedgewood vases that captured my attention as a child!

Wedgewood Santa #711 would make a striking addition to your mantle or holiday table.
