Hart Winery - Old Wine Barrel Carvings
While in California, we had the chance to visit Temecula and found the Hart Winery.
Jim Hart was there and graciously showed me four barrel carvings they had. The barrels were hand carved by Tom Freestone, who has since passed away. Two of the carved heads were still on the barrels, which were being used as display tables. Jim also took the time to pull two additional carved heads out of storage. My sincere thanks to him for taking his time to help me in my quest to document older barrel carvings and attempt to credit the artists that created them!
I highly recommend you check out Hart Winery when you visit Temecula. The tasting was a delight!
