Wine Barrel Stave Signs & Wine Barrel Art

In an effort to make use of every part of old wine barrels, Tom started carving single barrel stave signs.  Before cutting apart his last barrel, he drilled the hoops and inserted screws to hold the staves in place.  This created a number of three, four and five stave pieces that could be carved into larger signs.   Instantly recognizable as the side of a barrel, the barrel stave signs feature a unique shape and arc which will make a great addition to your wine art collection.   The back naturally features the burgundy wine stain!

Wine Barrel Stave Wine Cellar Sign

This sign features old English lettering with grape clusters at either end.  The grapes are stained a red oak, the lettering is stained walnut and the barrel itself stained golden oak for contrast.  As barrel staves are not uniform in size, your custom order sign may vary slightly in size.  The one pictured above is approximately 25.5" in length by 9" in height.  A wire allows you to hang the sign by nail or picture hook.

The golden oak background contrasts so nicely with walnut stained lettering that Tom decided to repeat the effect for this sign.  To add some color,  the leaf designs, bottle label and wine glass were given a thinned paint, allowing the natural grain to shine through.   As barrel staves are not uniform in size, your custom order sign may vary slightly in size.  The sign pictured above is approximately 26.5" in length by 7" in height.  A wire allows you to hang the sign by nail or picture hook.
