Cherry Wood Chalice hand turned and carved by Maryland Artist Tom Crowl.

Cherry Wood Goblet #333
With Hand Carved Petal Design

Hand carved petal chalice

A beautiful petal chalice,  6 3/8th" in height and approx. 2 5/8th" in diameter.    The goblet was shaped on the lathe and the petals were hand carved using chisels.  Because of the chisel work, the walls are a bit thicker to avoid breakage.  This chalice holds about 1/3rd cup of liquid.

The photo flash lightened the wood, in natural light the rich red of the cherry is highlighted by the carving, which captures shadows to truly stands out.  Turned from solid cherry, this is one goblet that will be a highlight of your collection!
